I was approached by the production and events team at a local South LA non-profit, Community Coalition, to help them with their annual community festival. Over the course of 5 months we worked closely together to establish an identity for the event. Some challenges included the fact that we decided to go in a very location specific illustration direction, but about two months into our branding work, the location abruptly changed. It was important to CoCo to show the location as a vibrant place and in doing so they hoped to empower community members and shift the narrative of this space that had remained empty many years.

My work encompassed all the needs for the festival, starting with key art and logo. It included: social assets, location banners and signage, program book design, and flyer design.
